Hi all, this is my first post on this forum.

I have a 2002 Punto 1.2 8v and over the past few months it's started to get a judder when setting off in 1st gear. I have noticed that this happens when it’s cold or been raining.

Does anyone know what may be wrong?

Cheers

I get the same, just on a 1.2 16v...

Hope its not time for a new clutch... =S

Don't quote me on this, but it might be that the clutch springs are getting a little weak (this is not a fiat clutch plate by the way, just used to show clutch springs - coloured green). They are supposed to reduce take up judder when the clutch engages.

You shouldn't need a new clutch just yet!!!!!
Also if they are becoming weak - for some reason cold & wet weather often make the problem feel worse.
