Hey folks, I took my car visciously up a kurb the other night by accident obviously lol and the wheel is now rubbing into the arches on full lock. I took it the next day to a garage where he had a look at it and did my tracking. He took a look underneath the car and visually said he could see no problems apart from my ARB bushes could probably do with being changed as they looked quite weak. So my ARB took most of the damage I presumed and bent themback into places. But I've now noticed it rubbing. I got a quote of £190 from the garage, apparently if I replace one lower arm, the other side will need doing aswell. This is because one side will feel hard and the other soft, is this true? My dad says he's talking balls and just wants me to buy another lower arm for the otherside so the garages takes in more money. The quote was £60 per wishbone, £30 for the tracking and then £40 labour.
This is the most expensive kurb I've ever drove up and really could do with some pointers from you guys, thanks alot. I'm a student and don't have much money, just buying this car has took pretty much all my money. I'm new on the roads and it was a BAD corner, poorly lit pedestrian bollard coming out half way into the road, so I never saw it and went straight up it. I pulled out to quick by accident because its a sharp bend to my left and cars come flying round, so I wanted to get out quick and ended up with biggest bang I've ever heard
Cheers for any inputs,
Leo
