tyre pressures

http://www.thetyrepressuremonitor.co...ures_fiat.html

The above website says my punto 1.2 8v shuld have

Fiat Punto Recommended Tyre Pressure 1.2i 8v 99 - Onwards 30 28 32 32the 1st two 30 and 28 shuld be front and rear respectively but are under a heading of "standard"

see below:

Type of Vehicle & Model
Age of Vehicle (Year)
PSI Pressures / Monitor Required
Standard
Loaded / Speed
Front
Rear
Front
Rear

I do not know what "loaded" or "speed" means in context to tyre pressures

I have the active sport alloys on my car are they considered standard or loaded?

Or is loaded the type when your car is lowered?

I have got the 30 front and 32 rear on it at the moment, I thought rear needed 32 but I checked back with that site and it said 28.

What is the correct psi?

Re: tyre pressures

I just always stuck 30 in all 4 and never had any issues, I had the same alloys as you, the active sport ones.

Rgards to loaded, it means when the car is laden (carrying loads of baggage) as obviously a heavier car would need higher pressure in the tyres.

That site is saying 30 in the front tyres and 28 in the back when the car is empty.
or 32 in all four tyres if you have a car full of stuff or four people in it.

The reason I put 30 in all of mine was because I had a sub in the boot and thought the rear tyres might benefit from some extra pressure.

Re: tyre pressures

Don't worry about it. 28-32 is fine.

Re: tyre pressures

tbh I used to pump mine up at home with a compressor that had a needle so think and a guage so small you couldn't tell whether it was 28 or 32. So although I SAY it was 30 all round it probably was one or two PSI out tbf.

The local garage has a digital one but its a 50p coin operated on and I point blank refuse to pay 50p for fresh air
