Basically..third gear is f****d! Syncromesh has gone and it just wont go in, my car is now a 4 speed and i jump from 2nd the 4th lol.

How much would I be looking at for this to be fixed? roughly?

£50 for clutch
3-4 hours for fitting so say £150 to be safe.

thats wrong i had mine done friday,i got a second hand box for 150(done 22,000)an the rebuild would have been 200,i can give you phone numbers if you want?(its in hull thow)

he's £50 out, hardly say he's wrong!

Didn't know there was another fylde dweller on here! would have thought I would have seen that cinq around st annes as its not the busiest lol!

but yeah cheers for that number, ive been offered a gearbox from a breaker on ebay at £75, as ive found out of this post...BARGAIN!

theres a few from the fylde 'ere. the cinq has been off the road for 6 months, but from tomorrow its out and about again

btw if you shift from 2nd to neutral, then let go of the clutch, then press it back in again, then shift into 3rd - it might go in
