Lightbulb How many Gallons can my tank hold

Hey every1 i wanted to know how many gallons can my tank hold so i can work out how many times ill have to fill my car up for a 7 hour drive

my motor is a punto mk1 1.2 sx 97

P.s just worked it out from Manchester to Scotland (Elgin) on a full tank i can do 480miles and its only 396 miles so thats good and thats with 40mpg if i hav e worked it out correctly

It is 12.4 US gallons not Imperial UK gallons. By UK standards it is only 10.3!!! (UK 4.54l to a gallon US 3.7ish)

Like most US measurements they are smaller so they think they have more!

Probably best to fill up around glasgowish as there aren't that many petrol stations in between on the A9.

I'd take the A82 from Glasgow much more fun than the heavily Policed A9

Your GPS will take you on the A9 as its the most direct route, if you want to go the scenic A82 which takes you through Glen Coe and past Loch Ness add "Fort William" as a detor.
