I'm trying to fix a friend's 05 reg 1.4 sporting-Engine management light is on as are hill start and esp lights, also the fan is on all the time and the temp gauge is not working
The fault code is P0115- faulty temp sensor-- easy! No.
Changed sensor, same faults.Asked around, consensus faulty ECU
Changed ECU(good [email protected]) still
no change.
When fault code is removed via laptop all ok for 5 seconds then faults return.
Remade engine and body earths and swapped battery to eliminate earth faults.
I have now run out of ideas. Can anybody out there help!!!:bang:

Check the terminals for the coolant temp sensor are clean and tight.

People often force pins-in to bridge them to test the cooling fan works and in doing so they bugger-up the terminals.

Temp sensor fault won't have anything to do with your Hill Holder/ESP issues. Probably an over-adjusted clutch pedal switch.
