Wooooow, my cars booked in here... http://www.exhausts.uk.com on Thursday for to have it's custom made Stainless Steel Exhaust made and fitted, they sound excellent and you choose the tail pipe and the final sound also =O)

They also use a much higher quality Stainless Steel than any other place. The whole thing "cat back with twin tail" £295!!!! fully made and fitted in 2 to 3 hours!!!!!!!! ganna have the tail rolled in too, so I get a nice burbling effect when idle LOL

Sounds good (get it??? )

Ive got a custom job and it does sound good (for a 1.2) as I asked for it NOT to sound like a chav's Nova.

What do you mean rolling the tail? Mines rolled inwards but was like that when I chose the tail pipe

Duno really LOL the man said that having it a certain way made it burble when idle LOL :)

I'm not an expert hehehe :)

As long as it looks and sounds cool, that's all that matters, oh and combined with my K&N it will certainly turn heads, as just my K&N does that on it's own LOL ;)

Yeah, which idiot bought a k&n?!?! :worship:

Modding cars for performance makes sence to me, but getting a custom job on an exhaust for a noise makes you sound like a prat.

Sorry, just being honest.

Well I got mine because the standard mk2 exhaust is the most embarrassing thing ever ive ever heard. When moving slowly, then accelarating in 2nd it used to fart its ass off

Now its not (too) loud, doesnt fart and has hardly any restriction so the gases can escape faster.

the exhaust he got aint just for noise, its a full stainless that will never need replacing now that is quite sensible to me. but as its custom made he can also choose the noise it makes therefore adjusting it to his taste, dont see a problem with that myself.
rear normal exhaust section is £80 on its own from xaust places with poxy 2 year garentee so i think its pretty reasonable prices for full complete one that will never need replacing.

nice purchase there mate wish i had thought of getting ful stainelss when i had my back section replaced.

Mate, you can think what you wish, but there is no need for personal insults calling me a prat just because I want to and you don't. LOL

Anyway, as stated by the others below you... I got it for a number of reasons...

1:it will look dam good as I'm getting twin tail, which is going to come out the centre if they can do that, I will have to cut a bit out of my stupid Mk2.5 rear bumper as them slots at the back are only a couple of inches if that LOL

2: for the sound, which I care about a lot. Just personal taste I guess.

3: Because I will never need to touch it or replace it again.

4: just because I can LOL ;P

5: and I also think the K&N sound bloody good also ;P

Yes the original exhaust sounds like poo on my mk2.5 AND the dam things hidden behind the bumper LOL

Now it's going to stick out big and bold for everyone to see LOL, will be cool. Thursday its being built, can't wait, it's like Xmas LOL :)

Cheers mate

Ok... Im finally back in the house, been driving about with my window down since 11.20am and its now 6pm LOL

I have never ever seen such good workmanship and pure skill as I seen at this exhaust place, every thing done in 2.5 hours, everything looks perfect, welds, bends, alignment and sound!!!. They take so much pride in their work, the twin double lined tail of the exhaust pokes out the rear centre so perfect, I really can't believe how they managed it LOL

I would recommend them to anyone no problem what so ever.

I will try and get some pics up for yas to look at =O)

Excellent (y)

At first I found it was wierd to drive being used to no sound, except when I floored it and the air filter took a big gulp of air........

Notice any performance gains, or increase in response? Have you got a performance air filter?

Yes my K&N is on there also LOL

I did find myself driving around softly in places LOL and I did seem to feel more guilty with police cars around LOL hehehehehe

But yes! it is a little strange having a cool sound most of the time hehehe, as you say, especialy when you floor it LOL and I love the sound it makes at traffic lights just ticking over LOL Burble burble! hehehe

I'm just wondering what Fiat will think of my new exhaust as my car still got 2.5 years warrenty LOL.

By the way, Nothing was welded to the chassie, they used all the original hanging points, with new rubbers and the center rear towing points to hang the exhaust back box from, solid as out, it's not going anywhere!.

Anyway!, how can it effect you warrenty when the exhaust is classed as a wearable item.

Oh!, I also bought some mat black grill mesh to fix behind the three slots on the 2.5 active sports rear bumper, just to finish it off.

Duno, but Im not looking forward to it. :)

I'm on the Fiat special list for a new clutch (judding at low speed crap) once the sort them out LOL

Fook em LOL

Mal

Wimp :p

By the way, is the clutch job youre having done a brand new clutch design or are they just putting another of the same in? If its another of the same, the juddering will dissapear but the clicking will start. Then after about 2 more clutches the clicking will stop for a while but then come back. Now my clutch ticks/clicks and judders- the ticking only starting this week.

When it goes in for the job ask them and let us know :D
-Cheers

No... I'm not getting a new one, as they won't do any under warrenty, only if I paid LOL FOOKERS!!.... But I'm on the list for to get one of the first fixed/modified clutches when they come out (if they come out) and mine clicks now when I press and release the clutch peddle, and I think it slipped this morning when setting off :(
