Can anyone help, i have a problem with the above my heater/blower has stopped working suddenly, any ideas?????????

Also, i have a crunching/grinding noise coming from what i think is the gearbox, if i have to replace it could anyone give me ideas as to where to find one and how much it would cost to replace.

Thank you

the heater blower is common problem with it not being earthed correctly, search the forum as there is a guide somewhere. look under your glovebox and wiggle the black connector and see if it starts working.

Hi mate and WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!

Re the heater fan - first check the fuse, then check the electrical connection at the bottom of the fan motor (in the passenger footwell) also have a look at THIS GUIDE.

Re the gearbox, you can pick up a second hand one for £150 - £200 depending.

Hope that helps,
Alan

Hi, I have a mk2 punto, 8 valve, 1200 cc.
The Blower stopped working and wiper started to work intermittently. Easy fix, there is a connector at the back of the blower motor in the passengers foot well... the contacts in the connector near to the heater (Not the heater motor connector, it's behind it) have BLUE and Black wires at 15 amps and a small red/ yellow 2 amp wire. Just cut the Blue and black wires and reconnect with push on or striop connectors... took 10 mins to do and now works fine.
