I disconnected all the gear linkage on my MK1 Punto becouse i needed to do verus work on the engine and box. Ive come to put it all back in and connected the gear select cable come to connect the rod and the pice to wich it is it bolted to had dropped down, so i pulled it back up but no matter were i put it the gear stick is ither all the way to the right or left (if that makes sence 
) I have tryed moving it about all ways if i push it back down i can turn it about 90o i know the gearbox is in nutral also i would expect it to be spring loaded some how to center the gear stick. I have tryed for best part of 4 hours with no luck :bang:
