Hey people... I'm looking to change my leaky heater matrix, but am unable to order the correct part from my local dealer as they need the details of the heater system in question, which I'm unable to do as I want to remove the leaky one and just swap for a new one there and then, not take the old one in to the dealer and wait god knows how long for the part to come in..

any takers ? does anyone know the part code ? theres 3 apparently, depending on the heating system installed, its non aircon if thats any help, 02 plate, 1.9 diesel.

Just looked on ePER and your dealer is correct that there are several different types of heater radiator, however, it should be easy to distinguish which one your car has fitted by it's VIN.

Hmmm.. when I spoke to my dealer they asked for the chassis number, would that also be the 'vin' number? anyway, they said that they wouldnt be able to tell from just the chassis number and that they needed the manufacturer of the heating system... that sound right to you? or are they just trying their luck, hoping that I'm just going to give up and let them do it, complete with their hefty bill to boot ?

Chassis number is the same as VIN. (Vehicle Identification Number)

If they can't do it just from the VIN then you need to check which direction the pipes exit your heater radiator.

Cheers again for that info. Tell me, what software is that ? would be real useful to me in fact. I bought some punto software a while back but couldnt find those details on it, can you tell me where to buy it please ?
