Technical odd question, need to get petrol out of car! and petrol octain Q

hi, mot is tomrrow, car has been on stands for 2 weeks as ive been repairing crash damage, all done now, but i just remebered that the tank is 3/8" full of contaminated petrol, ie got cataclean, and redex and other things in it, these probably will screw with emissions test. it hasnt got mot so cant drive it out. need to all the petrol out so i can put some fresh stuff in for tomorrow. whats the easiest way to do it?

also for the purpose of the mot will higher octane petrol help emissions test?

You need a pump or syphon, though some cars have anti-syphon filler necks (to stop people stealing petrol).

I'd leave that suff in there. It doesn't sound like it should affect the emissions test.. The E-Test measures Carbon Monoxide and Hydrocarbons in the exhaust fumes. If your beast is running properly, it should burn all those additives fully.

High octane petrol should not make any difference to the E-Test, for the same reason.
