Two things...

One, the drivers side wiper arm keeps falling off the hinge to the wiper blade.
It looks like the plastic inside the hinge in the arm itself is worn. After I bend it slightly, it works again no problem but as soon as the thing gets wet in bad weather (or I travel at more than 70 mph) the wiper flies free of the joint.

I have read that you can't just replace the arm, you've got to do the whole motor and all, as FIAT didn't make it - is this the case, and if so - what's my best bet i.e. getting an arm out of a scrapped/crashed Punto? Or can the plastic seal be replaced?

Two, the spring in the (outside) doorhandles is no longer 'pulling' the handle back in after it opens the door. I presume the spring inside is either off a small hook or has snapped. I have tried to remove the door lining (via "help" from Haynes) but on the inside doorhandle, where Haynes says "there be screws" -there isn't. Instead, there's some kind of rivet, with no kind of head for a screwdriver - and I've no idea how to open the things. Can anyone help?

about the wipers, not exactly clear which bit you're talking about. if it's the plastic piece that clicks the wiper onto the arm, you get a set of those with new wiper blades.

No, it's not that - it's when you lift the bonnet and look right at the back, you'll see the motor that drives the wipers. It's one of the two arms that come out of this, and link onto the very bottom of the wiper. If you look under a Punto bonnet, it's directly behind the Brake Fluid reservoir.

oh yeah, that broke on my old brava. i just used a nut and bolt, and some washers.
