Hmmm.

EOBD light came on for a day so I booked it into garage. (This was the Ford dealer where I bought the car from 2 months ago). They told me they had the necessary equipment to read the codes.

Anyway, the light went off before I took it there, but they reckon no codes were stored. I thought if the light came on it logged a code which could be read later?

I'm wondering if the garage are having me on a bit. Its still under warranty and I'm wondering whether they dont want to admit to there being another problem with the car. (See my previous AC problems !!!)

as i say in your other post

Yes it should store a code in the ecu/body computer.

You say they are a ford dealer, so they wont be using the fiat examiner software to check the codes. Its likely it will need to be scanned at fiat on the examiner software to identify the error code.

Although it all is well at them moment (no loss in perofrmance, economy etc...) i would be inclined to wait and see if it comes back on again, the going from there.

Howmuch of the warranty have you got left?

About 2 weeks and the garage have already shelled out a fortune on fixing the aircon I reckon. Could be that they're not too keen to highlight further problems to me !!!
