1. I want to fill in the holes where the badges were on the boot, I have some body filler, will this work for the little holes?? need to sand down all around ect though.

2. If I have side repeaters on my wing mirrors do I legaly still need the ones on the front panels or can I remove and smooth over the holes?? also providing you dont weld a metal plate over the hole, can you use a fibreglass sheeting stuff with the resin and hardener to cover it then sand, filler, primer, paint, laquer?

Whenever you have a hole in any body panel, the gap should be bridged with metal, filler will just sink and crack. It might last a week, it might last a year, but it will definately happen.

The boot holes are quite small, so you might ge away with fibreglassing the inside of the boot, then a thin layer of filler on top.

Law on repeaters is it has to be visible from the side- so if you wing mirrior repeater is visible from the side yes you can get rid of the ones in the wings, but it will be major £££.

all holes must be filled with a plate and welded as and where possible. little holes would literally be welded and ground down. do not just fill them as the filler will sink and crack and will look gash. get a mig welder and fill the holes with that

i welded plates in ground them down and stopper pasted over them flatted them and then paint. they have come out perfect

cool I woder if my garage could do tha ten they seem to work to goodness knows when at night, theres lights on i there and you can ear welders and angle grinders all the time.... hmmmm ill see, cos if thats the case Ill wait till i get my central locking done and Ill delock and de side repeater at the same time the led door mirrors have led that point to the side and to the front.
