got a new fuel filter for my mk1 punto but I cant work out how to get the old one off, the pipe clips tat plug onto either end of the filter dont seem to come undone and im scared to yank too hard in case I break something, can anyone help me out here?

push towards the filter squese the 2 coloured squares green i think and pull really

but be very careful as you are very likely to break the pipe from the fuel pump off this i have seen to many times after fuel filter changes

anyway why you changing it personally on my cars i don't change fuel filters unless they are actually blocking fuel and if they were it would happen very slowly so wouldn't take long to realise and replace my dad has driven many cars past 100k miles and he never changed one british fuel is simply too clean

you have to remember these cars are designed to run virtually anywhere on any rubbish fuel in fact mk2 puntos have a life of the car filter ie it never gets changed it's in the tank
