Hi there, i have a mk1 punto 60s, i have just recently fitted a central locking kit to the car. However, i ran the battery down, it still has enough power to power the central locking but won't let the car start. there just isn't enough power. I took it out (with my dad) as i havn't passed my test yet and its still sitting on the drive, for about 20 mins drive. went to start it the next morning and was again totally drained. Its mind boggling me as i'm hoping its not the central lockings fault. however i had to hook it straight to the battery for a constant power source... please could someone help me? does it just need a longer drive out? or will i need a new battery

no it doesnt.

get a multimeter then come back here when you have and ill tell you what to test.
