Right, i've finally completed colour coding one side of my punter!

De-stripped aswell (y)

Here are a few pictures:

Let me know what you think

I love it :D

looks proper nice, you can do mine now
actually want to do exactly the same to mine, taken the side strips off already, now want to colour code the handles, take the vinyl off between the windows and paint that plastic, did you take the plastic window trim off to paint it?

and get some abarth skirts (y)

lol im after some skirts but need some money first

No i didnt take off the plastic vinl, just sanded it down alot with some high grade wet and dry, then just primed, painted and lacquered (y)

so you painted that bit?.. not the bit holding in the rear window

Yep i did.

Yeah i did know there was paint underneath, but i wasnt sure what sort of condition it was in, and i dont think it is lacquered. decided to play it safe and paint the plastic to get a nice shiny finish, didnt know if it was going to work, turned out great :D

chances are the paint's in brand new condition, just as if you were to debadge, paint underneath things is always in better nick, specially on red, you can still read what they said on my car , i needs a respray :spin:

Lol yeah that can happen alot with certain colours.. knew id be ok when i debadged mine and the paint was exactly the same:(y)

Thinking about doing something to the front end aswell, either spray the bumper bits on either side and leave the middle section black, or spray the middle section and leave the bumpers. Seen them both, cant decide which one would look nicer on my car

Yeah thought about doing the rear bump strip, but wondered if it would maybe be a bit too much?

But if i tint my rear clusters i think it would look sweet :yum:

whats the best way to take the vinal off tho?

Ive started mine and its taken me a good half hour to remove the top quater.

i havent used anything yet ie hair dryer or wd40 (which i find works)

I always thorte it was a bit of plasitc covering a part they had not painted, but its the nice silver under it!!

Glad i got it in silver dosent fade that much :slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer:
