Can anyone tell me whereabouts this is located on the engine ?? I have a mk1 1.2 sporting.

STILL havnt seen the GP 1.9 guide Shaunyboyuk! Did I miss it?

I read back on a few of his posts incase he had already posted and I couldn't find it either !!

it's screwed into the right hand side of the inlet manifold as you stand infront of the car

as back in the day were the water use to flow threw the inlet manifold to heat it there needs to be something to block the hole in the head were water comes out for this as the head design has not changed much over the year so fiat simply let it into a section of the manifold were the temperature sensor is

buy doing this it is at the very top of the system as hot water goes up

I have just changed the ble top sensor in the pic, but can you tell me what the red top one os by any chance ?

that's the temp sensor for the temperature gauge on dash
the blue one is more accurate for use buy the ecu

it's obviously moved from the left hand side of the head as yours is a 75 mpi so injectors wiring must have been in the way or something

it's normally located above num1 spark plug screwed in the back of the head

on 1108 1242 8v 55 spi and 60 spi but yours is 75 mpi

Mine is a 1200 16v sporting mate, is that 75mpi ?

o right I couldn't see from that picture of it it looks remarkably like the bottom of the 8v head

So the red sender is the one for the temp guage on the dash and the blue is the one for the ecu. Is that right ???

Hi, can ne1 guide me through how 2 change the ECT Sensor on my 1.2 Punto?? Any help would me much appreciated as my cars cutting out when engine gets hot!!

I changed the one in my mk1 1.2 sporting mate.



It is behind the thermostat, and has a plug over the top of it, remove the plug, and it is blue in colour. Can't remember what size of spanner you need, but it is just a case of unscrew the old one, and then replace with the new one, and put the plug back on.

Hope that all makes sense
