This job is not as hard as you may first think so dont be afraid to have a go!
I reckon it will take even a novice at the most 1/2 hr to achieve(y) !

./ First of all go into the engine bay disconect the battery and locate the ECU and loom coming from it.
./Carefully remove the plastic protective casing from around the loom and find the all blue wire.
./ Next thing you have to do is join your new wire up to the blue wire.( i did this by cutting the plastic sheathing from around it and twisting the new wire onto it then protecting with insulation tape!)
./Then run your new wire along the loom casing. Securing it as you go, so as not to leave it dangerously hanging, i found it easiest to tape it to the loom casing.
./ Once passed behind the engine and now on the passenger side of the engine bay, if you look down the bulkhead insulation you will see a pull out piece about the size of tax disc and kind off egg shaped. Remove this and behind you will find a rubber coated steel plate held in by two 10mm nuts.
./ When you have removed this plate, move into the inside of the car and pull back the carpet under the glovebox. Then go back to the engine bay and push a screwdriver through where the steel plate was and feed your wire through.
./Run the wire up along the back of the dashboard and up to the back of the dial, then remove the binnacle by undoing the two allen screws, one either side. (remember to secure the wire so it doesnt catch on anything)
./Next find the plug that is connected to your clock. If you look closely at the back of it you will notice there are 8 little boxes with wires going into only 5 of them.As you look directly into the back(not front) of the plug your newly ran wire needs to go at the end of the right hand side adjacent to 3 boxes with wires already connected. N.B. I found it eaier to remove a connector from an old plug and put the new wire to this and then putting it into the plug.
./Re-connect battery
./ Plug all youre connections back in and turn on the ignition. Hey Presto! you now have a working rev counter (providing you did everything i said):slayer:
