Some of the other comments above indicate where you can get the button from. And no it doesnt, its just there to ignitiate the starter motor. Hope this helps

Give 'Dayjw' a quick PM, he might be able to point you in the right direction. And maybe search it on google? Someone may have already fitted one for your model of car

Posts: 85 Thanks: 6 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: How to Install an Engine Push Start Button Sorry to drag up a year-old post, but just wanted to say thanks to iLeno This guide helped me install the push-button engine start in my Punto, and I'm loving it!I managed to squeeze two contact pads behind the blank button on the centre switch rail (hazards, electric windows, etc.) and wire it up to send 12V from the cigarette lighter to a relay that then does the job of the button in your guide. Only took an hour or so to put it all in, and it means I can keep using my sat-nav charger

Has anyone else noticed that if you push the button without the key in the engine turns over but doesn't start. Then if you turn the key so the dash lights come on then it does start. just wondered if its normal
