I was a bit nervous of making a minor leak in to a catastrophe - but your guide is great! 2 quick qu's though - why do your suspension upper mountings look so cool when mine look like that plunger on a Dalek? Also, is that a standard air box ?

However all seems ok so far! thanks - btw I was paranoid about snapping bolts and having to drill 'em out but that went ok too! Just wish i had the inclination to make my engine bay as shiny as the pictured one :P

I'd ask them to rectify it FOC if I were you, 3 months is not a reasonable length of time for it to last!

Could this be the problem as the oil seems to be cumming down from the cam belt area? Would like to get it sorted as its really annoying me lol plus it was down on the last MOT advisory sheet as "oil leak" Thanks Dave

| | I found that I diddn't actually snap a bolt, but in way overtightening the one nearest the oil filler at some point I did pull the thread out. Was before I understood Torque settings!!! ![]() Luckily the cam cover & the top of the head form a "pair of lips" that stick out enough that you can replace the bolt with a longer one & thread it into a nut below :-)
