| Re: Punto Mk2 Centre Console removal and bulb replacement. I have a small/ or large problem. When i try to pull the dash back, it hits the plastic base of the gearstick. I've tried bending the dash and everything but it wont go passed it... . Help anyone?___ Never mind hah. I pulled it harder this time and it made a snapping noise... but it went back on fine so im guessing i did it right. Thanks for the tut .Last edited by liambre : 18-04-2008 at 16:16. | |||

| Re: Punto Mk2 Centre Console removal and bulb replacement. I have removed the four nuts, but the console will not budge, any hint on how to lever it away with no damage? I wil retry with a better 4mm key.

Hi mate, Its should come away fairly easily. Do you have the centre console with a DIN slot down by the gearstick, or the same as the one in the pictures? Alan

Hey, I have the same problem as you mate. However, i took out the orange acrylic inserts from each of the seperate controllers before replacing the panel. After replacing the panel with the acrylics out, the two outer dials are now very bright blue, but the middle fan controller and the bottom sliding jobby cant be seen in the dark. I assume you used blue LED's judging by the picture on your profile. My intention is to now put a blue LED strip inside there to boost the blue effect. Let us know how you get on if you decide to remove the orange acrylics... It does make a serious difference! ![]()

| Re: Punto Mk2 Centre Console removal and bulb replacement. how did you remove the orange from the fan control in the middle and the sliding one? i was thinking of putting the white bulbs back and putting blue filters where the orange used to be.
