I need to remove the panel with the heater controls on it. (The panel you'd remove to replace the bulbs behind the heater/blowers/position switches).

I've had an initial look - there's two torx screws underneath, one of which is impeded by the trim near the cup holder, so assuming I have to loosen bolt in passenger footwell to give me some room.

I'm assuming there's a couple more hidden by the radio.

Has anyone removed this? I can't find a guide anywhere.

Please don't tell me I have to remove the dash!

There's a guide here for the Grande Punto that may help:

https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-guides/294064-replacing-bulbs-heater-controls.html

EDIT: having read to the bottom there is a comment that says the Evo is different so perhaps this won't help at all!

hi,

one of our european ( scandinavian..) owners did add some more Evo / 2012 info in the last year.:)

https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-evo/430738-how-replace-heater-control-bulbs.html

IF you manage to do this can I ask that you make a quick GUIDE..and upload pics via the forums server.. :)

Photobucket pics keep disappearing, :(

cheers,
charlie

Any updates on this? I'm looking to replace my heater control panel and I'm not sure which/how many of the surrounding trim panels need to be removed as they all seem to overlap.

Thanks Varesecrazy. I've checked out the link but it only seems to relate to changing bulbs? I'm looking to change the whole heater control unit as one of the control dials sheered off mine (blower direction just in time for winter! Not sure the screwdriver I'm using at the moment is a long term fix!). I have the replacement but I'm unsure how to get the old one out as there is so much trim around it!

Hi yes I've done this, have sent you a PM. Will write a guide up, on phone atm, will add pictures when I get to PC (don't have many though)

Hello everyone!

I am new here but I have the exact same problem with my 2010 evo.

So any success with the instructions? I have looked up some instructions, but without pictures I'm not going to succeed.. :D

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm trying to find out how to do this too, any update or advice available please?

EDIT - sorry just found the guide that WesCott has done :)
