Hi All,

I have bought fiat punto evo 2010 (semi automatic) few weeks back.

One of the issues (there are many), is the reading fromOnboard computer - which shows Instant consumption, it shoots up sometimes into the high 100's when i am going between 30miles per hour to 70 miles per hour speed.

Few other issues

1) I have also noticed, some times I also get Yellow Triangle on Dashboard and at the same time I get Yellow Light on the START&STOP BUTTON on top of the Streo System.

2) I have noticed when I park the car on plain surface, the car tend to move backwards slowly.

3) When I turn the engine off, the car makes beep sound , you can hear the beep 5-7 times.

5) I really have to push the acceleration pedal down , specially if I am at round about and then when I move my car from standstill to high speed, it takes ages.

Any help or recommendations would help

I wouldn't put too much stock in the instant consumption figure, it's based on the fuel consumption at that exact moment, so if you're going downhill @ 70mph with very little throttle input the reading will be very high as it'll be using almost no fuel to keep you moving. The more important reading really is the average consumption, what does that show?

Is it normal for punto evo 2010 (semi automatic) full tank only last 345 miles approx without AC , just normal town drive.

With a 2011 evo 1.6 120hp I do about 7.6-8l/100km, tank is 45L, and warning lamp lights up at after 35L...

Does any one know where I can connect my OBD reader in my 2010 Punto Evo (S-A) petrol car.

If it's like mine, it is under the wheel on the left there is some stuff you can open, and it's down inside, you almost need to remove the cap, go from below, but it's hard to connect

Thanks for your reply, can you please share link or picture of the location , i could not find it.

Secondly, I have noticed in my car , most of the time, I get Yellow Triangle on dashboard and at the same time I get Start&Stop unavailable , does any one know the fix for this, is it something of a concern?

Mine goes in limp mod after deccelerating, but triangle doesn't always pop up, only after many limp mod. If I stop the engine and start again it's not limp anymore

Fiat diagnosis is : the EGR cooling block has a leak... and maf sensor could be faulty too, they ask 1400€ for repair.....

Error code was P010F, air flow above top limit (at least with my tools, don't know about theirs...)

Don't think your issue is same as mine, tho, start and stop never really worked for me, and now it didn't happen for few month..

Hi,
Send MAF logs on 4th gear. I have 1.6 mjt too [emoji6] so maybe I can help.
I delete egr ( only ECU) and dpf and my maf when engine idle shows 380mg/i (alfaOBD) or 11,5 g/s (torque pro). In the city only consumption is about 9l/100km.
Kind Regards,
Pat

The fuel consumption figures going high as you describe is Normal, the less fuel you are using the higher the numbers.

As it's a 1.4 8v don't expect it to be too frugal that engine is underpowered for the size of the grande/evo

If most of your driving is done in town then your not going to get very high figures. And finally it sounds like stop start is not working properly which will also have an effect on fuel use in stationary traffic the engine will still be running and won't stop like it should.

will it cost if I take my car to fiat to check the issue with the start and stop (with yellow triangle) ?

will it help, if I buy OBD reader to check the start and stop issue myself?

It costs yeah...
In France, code reading at Fiat garage is 84€...

I'm not really sure obd will help about start&stop, I mean mine never works 100% or stop with no reason and found no correlation with obd but maybe I'm not looking where I should...

Anyway I just disabled it

Then if you have the triangle OBD will tell you why it's there and fixing that might re enable start/stop
