Hi All,
Been having some issues with my punto evo 1.2 Mylife 2011 with 44,500 miles.
I have been getting 'Christmas' lights on my dash warning me of everything going wrong..
This issue has been occurring more and more frequently over the past few months.
The issues:
Red steering wheel light and Amber warning triangle circled by a arrow light come up.
Followed by 'ASR Unavailable', 'Power Steering Pump Failure', 'Hill Holder Unavailable', 'ESP Not Working' Or along those lines.
This only happens on start up until today, as I was driving (5 mins). ASR, Hill and ESP all came on! :bang:
Also start stop is always Unavailable no matter what I do!
Turning the steering wheel turns off the red steering wheel light.
After my little procedure below all is normal and the car dives as normal.
Procedure to temporarily 'fix' the problem is this:
- Key in and turn on ignition.
- See the pretty Xmas lights.
- Start the car.
- Turn the wheel from lock to lock.
- Watch the steering wheel symbol go away.
- Turn off the car.
- Key out of ignition.
- Back in ignition on.
- Start car.
- All is well.
No fault codes are coming up.
I have tried disconnecting the battery for 15 mins with no change.
Battery voltage is also good.
Does anyone know or have had a similar situation?
Can I reset the ECU?
What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance,
David
