Hi guys,

I'm a brand Newbie so forgive me if I don't get the nuances of this.

Just got my first car - it's a Punto Evo - 1.2 MyLife. I absolutely love it.

However I want to make it look slightly sportier (on a budget), these are the mods I have so far decided that I will do.

1 - Abarth Punto Evo alloys (Part exchange for my alloys + £280) what do you guys think about these on the MyLife?)

2 - 1.4 GP honeycomb grill. Does this fit on a Punto Evo MyLife and if so how??? Also any thoughts on adding this?

Would you guys recommend any other mods. What are your views on the ones I intend on doing? What are your views on the Punto Evo 1.2 MyLife? Literally any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Key mod for a Punto Evo is change the Headlight, Sidelight, DRLs and Front indicator bulbs, makes a massive difference it terms of aesthetics

Thanks, will look into it, but a total newbie so will do cosmetic stuff before electrical. Any other tips?

Do you know if these kind of bulbs cause any problems with the bulb failure warning system if used to replace the Day running lights?

I keep getting the message appear saying check day running lights, dealer have checked as have I and they seem to be connected correctly. I was going to try swapping and thought these will probably look better...

LEDs are always dodgey, I tried them in my headlight cluster and I got a number of warning lights, the only LED bulbs I now have on my car are in the spot light (inside the car). But they cause problems with residual current.

I have MTEC super whites for DRLs in my cluster, and they're nice a white so I'd go for them. You can get them on eBay for a couple of quid.

You must tell your insurer about any and all mods such as the ones you are suggesting. As a first car, that may change the premium, so ask them before spending any money on mods. Might be better to wait at least a year, get some no-claims history.

A standard car is less likely to attract unwanted attention too.

I'm gonna leave it
Think the Abarth alloys are too flashy and not worth the hassle/money to obtain them as mine are really nice.

Thanks guys for the advice, any other mods you would recommend?
