Does anybody know for a fact, what gearbox is in the punto evo 1.6 multijet??

I've been told its either the m32 or f40 box... But nobody seems to actually know.

Thanks

Should be the M32. The 1.9 120 and 130HP Grande Punto had the M32.

Don't know the F40 Gearbox.

6 speeds ? how much torque out of your engine ?

The f40 box is the one found in the bravo 2.0 and Vauxhall signum/vectra. It has a maximum torque rating of 400nm.

The m32 box has a maximum torque rating of 320nm.
My engine comes with 320nm as standard, so I'd be amazed if fiat would put the m32 box in as it would be on the upper torque limit and most likely fail

Ok thanks for these informations.

You should be right, it's too close.

But nowadays gearbox ratings are on limits, 206Nm for C510 with TJet and MultiAir, 280Nm for the M32 on the Abarth (if it is really the M32).

If you can PM me the VIN of you car or post the part number for your gearbox, I can search on Eper in which other cars your box is used.
