I am trying to replace the heater control bulb in my evo the one on the drivers side,

I have removed the radio and cage also the two small side panels in the foot wells but still can't get the bulb holder out.

I can just about get a grip of the bulb holder with some ciriclip pliers and my endoscopy camera but the bulb holder just won't move have tried to twist it and pull it don't want to use to much force as don't want to brake it.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to remove the bulb holders so I can change the bulb or an easier way of doing this.

Been trying for two days and have just about reached the point of a nervous breakdown . I thought it was a pain of a job in my old 57 grande now I realise that was childs play.

If I remember correctly there are plastic tabs retaining the bulb holder, I used a pair of tweezers to slip in either side of the holder to release the tabs (a small mirror and torch helps) and it came out easily

Hi Guys

Okay finally did it today managed to get it in view of the endoscopy camera then used a really small set of long nose plyers just manager to fit them behind the dash and get a grip of the bulb jiggled for a bit wasn't budging, then just lost my temper and gave it a good tug and it came out.

I see no way you can do the drivers side one without the radio and cage coming out, The passenger side one you can just about get out by lying on your back in the passenger foot well.

PS: You will need some electrical tape to plaster up your cut and grazed hands.

Thanks

Dean
