Styling Gear Knob

Does anyone know where I can buy the gear knob that's in the Punto as standard in the GP?

I have the horrible plastic one and want to be rid of it as soon as possible

I changed mine too, just keep an eye on ebay, they come up every now and then.

Its where I got mine from.

yeah, just needs a bit of man power to twist to remove, then twist again until really tight / facing correct way.

Am I right in thinking it is only the 6 speed gearbox and not the 5 speed that has the ring push for reversing?

don't know - you've not said what engine..??:bang:
the basic 5 speed pandas are all "lift rings"

Punto Easy+. In the manual it looks like 6 speed has lift ring and 5 speed doesn't

I have an Easy+ with a five speed gearbox and it definitely has a lift ring for reverse.

I'm pretty sure ALL the FIAT's from @2004 will have,
as it's in the design of the gearbox..,

do you have issues with the dexterity of lifting it..?

I know my mum couldn't work it in an old '80s Vauxhall..

I've never understood the purpose of a lift ring on a 5 speed. The way the gear slots are placed you'd have to be a special kind of stupid to accidentally select reverse!

Yeah I would prefer without lift ring reverse. The owners manual indicates that the 5 speed should come without this and the punto promo pictures seem to show a car with a gearstick without a ring. Does anyone know if this is the case for othed countries/markets?

Also the pictures in the Punto brochure on the Easy+ and Pop+ specifications appears to show a gear stick without lift ring? Can anyone advise if this is manual or dualogic gear stick?

1.4 Easy+. I injured my thumb 2 years ago when I raised my hand trying to get a bus driver to stop reversing into a wall, he kept going and the result was my thumb got caught this makes it hard to lift the ring as my thumb is not stong enough to lift it.
