scary o_O though, i didnt boot it in mine until about the 500 mark... not had any problems with mine so far.

atleast its under warranty! :D

Thy only told me to keep the revs low because of this fault until its fixed, not in general. So I as soon as it's fixe it'll be fine. That said it's most likely caused by an incorrectly built engine so it was going to happen eventually :( oh well warrenty :)

he's talking about a Alfa though:confused:

Welldone. And his EOBD warning came up as did mine which was why my car was in the garage in the first place. He also mentioned it feeling like one cylinder wasn't running which was confirmed on mine. And Fiat own Alfa and the mito shares the same engines as the fiats so possibly the 135 does.

Sorry mr moderator for trying to help seeing as the circumstances are EXACTLY the same as mine :)

Yep! My Alfa 135 has the same engine as the Evo, just in a different state of tune. As far over revving a new engine there's a rumour going around that until 1000 miles are reached the engine management restricts the revs and only gives 80% power. No dealers will confirm this though.

Well I'm glad you cleared that up, but I still think you should get it checked over as mine is quite a serious case lol :D

Sounds blo*dy awful. I admire how calm youre being. No use giving yourself a corronary over a car i know, but i'd still have a try! :p

Im not one to money grab, but seen as everyone else does why not ring Fiat & ask for a free service or two (assuming you havn't already got Feel3). Might make them remind Italy to build an engine properly in future ;)

All I can do is wait until the parts arrive to fix it, but it could go BANG at any moment. If it does then I'll have to have a whole new engine which could take like a month to be fixed .... I'll demand alot if that happens :D

I'm not too bothered really lol

Cannot be helped, but they could have made it correct in the first place :bang:

Alfa seems OK now, no probs since the EBOD lit up briefly than disappeared.
I'm guessing the Alfa was just sulking after been left out in the wind and rain all night. :D

Can't wait to reach a 1000 miles!

The cubby hole cover is fitted at PDI after the car has been on examiner, Slightly weak plastic fins with pins on it to locate into dash panel with spring attached , Misfire on MultiAir may be due to oil leakage into spark plug tubes due to UPPER head gasket leakage , Evo turbo engines have power limiter in built that has to be reset at pdi ( not sure about specific criteria of limiter )

They are replacing the head gasket so I guess your right
