Well that seems daft to me :p
That said, ive pressed the button once.. rest of the time im happy playing cowboy n opening the boot from between my legs / over head / spinning press etc :D

I got this in a week but only cause i wanted this colour,, they had the ordinary black, green, blue in stock so could of been shorter,,

I guess most on here waiting put in a specific order with options?

I heard a customer today ask when they were gona start pre-registering them,, probally wanted more cash off,,

I got £2000 of the list on this but not sure of Fiat were running an offer,, i know they had a March offer on finance,, but then next month may offer summit better,, chance i take i suppose,, was not planning to change my GP untill August / Sep,, but this is better now.

I ordered an Eleganza with full leather which they said is whats going to delay it the most, I also got the skydome roof and the style pack (rear electric windows, cornering fogs, and matching side protective mouldings). Basically apart from the aluminium kick plates I ordered everything optional for the Eleganza, so my wait is AGES  *sits hear crying lol*

Edit: Also spent £700 on a numberplate for it, but woth every penny IMO!

I still cant believe you spent £700 on a numberplate, but didnt order the £80 kickplates which really add abit of style!

Was just thinking, brand new car, like 0 miles,, yet when you pick it up, the fuel warning light is on????!!!! i know i am contracted to 10L,, but surley if 11 or 12L takes it out off the red then that would look so much better,,

Apart from the standard discount, i did not manage to get anything out of them,, tried for mats or a least discounted mats but got nought,, i would have pressed them more if my trade in was'nt needing repairs,, i take very good care of my cars,, especially i try to keep the interior in good order,,

My last GP i had for 24 months & in that time i gave it 2 proper washes,,

Now,, theres method to my madness,, were i live theres constant dirt, dust, road salt & the like,, if i washed the car every weekend the fresh paint would be subjected to this attack constantly,, but i feel if the layer of dirt & grime is left to coat it,, nothing else can get through,,

Obviouslly if it got real black i would was it,, that turned out to be once a year,,

Dont think im lazy i have a power hose ready & awaiting anytime i need it, i have had too many cars were the previous owners take them through those automated car washes,, GGRRR you can see the scratch swirls,, i hate that,,

a good layer of polish is the shield between paint & dirt, so i gave mine a good cleaning with a good coating of polish to protect, now its just cleaning constantly to keep it looking good & polish every couple of weeks.

And yeah, the dealership were very stingy with deals for me too, i managed to get mats & a full tank out of em but thats only because i went to 5 or 6 dealerships and threatened to go back to the other if they dont give me the mats/fuel :p

Recommend any decent polish,, last time i polished was about 12 years ago, Nova GTE , lol

Also, i see the Adrian Flux banner at the top of the page,, do we get discount?

Been with them for 9 years,, so have 9 years no claims,, & over 30 but still £300 for the year,, hmmmmm

Personally im using "Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine"

Seems to do the job, though on the Car Care forum people seem to be pointing me in other directions as autoglym doesnt last very long, but ill research that when this bottles ran out :)

You could go on forever trying to find the perfect polish, ill probably stick with autoglym just because its easily available & its a good product, they do everything, granted its not cheap but id rather pay £7-10 and know ive got something good than £5 and wonder if its any good.

That said, i did buy some of the Meguiars Applicator Pads for putting on the polish as there washable & everything else seems to microscratch the paint, and polishing cloths remind me of my grandads vests & usually thrown out after 1 polish..... also im thinking of trying Turtle Wax Ice, just because it seems to be a clear polish so wont leave white marks on the plastic etc like conventional polishes, i'm going to ask on the car care forum what they think about that soon.

Not sure on that one, but im 25 (5 no claims / no convictions etc) and ive just been quoted £430.50 by directline for my Evo (if thats any use.)

I also like the fact that on models without fog lights at the front they've designed the plastic to make it look they are't meant to be there, instead of just some circular covers that would look rubbish

Infact, those are covers, models with fogs have ones with holes in and yours don't.

I noticed when changing my fog bulbs that you just unscrew the cover off.

So you could take yours off, install foglights then fit the ones designed with holes in for fogs.

Look closer at them, you'll notice they are seperate from the rest of the grill :D
