My drives side door electric window has broken. I took the door panel off and the metal wire inside is messed up. Is this easy to fix. The plate is 56

Thanks

yes fairly easy to fix.

You can buy a repair kit (wire, pulley) but very fiddly to change wire much easier to get a used regulator complete off e bay about £30.
About half an hour to swap over.

i had this exact same problem a few weeks ago. i was going to try and repair by replacing the wire with a new one, but it was too fiddly so i just bought a whole new regulator off ebay for about £30

if you've taken the door panel off, you're half way there already. remove the insulating foam and look for the bolts holding the regulator on (there's three). the window glass is attached to the regulator using a orange clip. you remove the clip like so: ...

i'm a complete newbie to car repairs and i managed

from my research, all the regulators are the same (all years, 3 door/5 door doesn't matter). just need to make sure you get a drivers side one
