Hey guys,

I have a problem with figuring out this one. I want to have my radio connected so when I turn on my ignition the radio starts and when I turn off ignition the radio shuts down with it BUT I also want to be able to turn on the radio without the position of the key been just before the start of the engine position as there is no ACC position. I have tried many ways myself and I figured it out how to plug it into 1. Have it on with the ignition and off but can't turn on the radio without the key turned. 2. Have the radio on all the time until I manually turn off the radio but I can't get it to work together. Is there any way to get it working, any tricks?

Ive contenplated this issue too...

Times i would want the stereo on without the keys
Only way i can think of it is to have a 3pin rocker / 3 position

So u have stereo feed on the common middle pin
Have battery feed (fused) going to 1 terminal
And then the switched going to the other

So 1 is ignition - flat is dead - 2 os battery feed

I was thinking about that myself did you try it yourself? Lets say i keep the ignition before start is there anything that could happen other than dead battery?

With the key off if you press the power button in your radio does not turn on?
I believed it was common ,unless you dont have the blaupunkt radio unit that came with the car.
