Looking for a 650cc engine for my 500 and found this one, it is a FIAT 126 A1.048 s/n 9680362. Found so far that this is a German version and i wonder if this square head any advantages like high compression. What is the year of production and if this version has synchromesh gearbox or is the same as the 500.
Also if this version has any pros or cons compared to a more standard 650 engine with the round head.

The car should have a synchro gearbox. I think that the engine would be standard older 650 spec but it has the advantage that if you can source a Panda 30 head, inlet manifold and twin choke carb it will fit that tinware and give a power increase.
