Just bought a fiat 127 that's been sat in a garage for a while. The guy I bought it off has lost the keys over time. Is it possible to get a key for the car or do I have to change the locks and ignition barrel.

Should be possible..

Have you got any supporting paperwork..what year is the car..??

a good locksmith should be able to make a new key by dismantling one of the barrels

Yes..but that doent take wear and tear into account..
if you can get a blank key cut to code its got a better chance of working ALL the locks..

ive got all the paperwork. its year is 1978

Possibly in the FIAT paperwork..

Its possibly marked on a barrel also.

An established dealer / specialist might know.. middle barton..??

SELL FOR.. approx. 40% of the asking price... ; ^ )

If your looking for your key code if it's in your paperwork or possibly stamped on one of the locks. There are two series of key codes for these depending if the lick was made by Sipia or Neiman. If the locks are Neiman you will be looking for a code between A501 and A3278 if the locks are Sipia then you will be looking for a code between 000000A and 999999Z.
If you can't find the code then it shouldn't be a problem for any Locksmith to make you a new key to the lock.
