Hello,
So I have a 1978 Spider. I am planning on restoring it, and I am wondering which would help it retain or increase it's value, should I restore everything to original or can I modify a thing or 2? I was thinking of:
1- polishing the Aluminum Engine to a mirror shine,
2- Chrome paint (not plate) the trim and bumpers,
3- do a bare to metal paint strip and paint in a modern metallic red/burgundy. Original color is green through
4- Get a beige top instead of the black one and use beige interior
5- replace the old wood with walnut burl
6- use a beige dashboard rather than black
What do you guys think? Restoration? or do the above? from a value stand point...
Thank you!
