Can anyone tell if it is actually real and likely to work? If so I know what I want for Christmas...

No idea. I was over tired and got excited. I'm gonna search for reviews today and try to find some youtubes of it in action.

Potentially a really nice bit of kit.

I would ask them what maps are on the memory card. Lots of these from China have IGO maps, but are not licensed, so you cannot update them. You'd have to source your own Android maps later.

There are also a lot of cables to lose behind the unit. Check your car first to make sure there is room for them.

Ah sorry about the link. Missus LD forbade my purchase of this because we'd never drive anywhere. She knows me too well.

That said, if I were to get it I'd just use Google maps tethering off my phone as this machine has the gps module too. Then again, if the sd card with map data on it was detailed enough and seemingly up to date then probably wouldn't need to tether.

Maybe I'll just find a cheap-o 7" tablet and screen mount as I've already got a decent HU

What maps would run on windows 6.0,as i have igo at the moment?

I have one of those and I love it! TV, DVD, 3G, Spotify, GPS, find my car, reverse camera parking, radio, and so on...
