Fiat 500 owners can make significant savings on their car insurance thanks to a new range of bespoke schemes introduced by specialist insurance broker Adrian Flux.
The new schemes are designed to cater specifically for owners of the iconic Italian hatchback, whether they drive a vintage 1936 Topolino or a 158 brake horsepower Abarth Esseesse.
The UK’s leading specialist car insurance broker, Adrian Flux, has in-depth knowledge and experience of the type of cult vehicle, like the Fiat 500, driven by enthusiasts, and is therefore able to offer incredibly low rates.
Gerry Bucke, general manager at Flux, said: “Fiat 500s are a cult classic, with communities of owners and enthusiasts every bit as passionate as those which have formed around the Mini and VW Beetle.
“We share the same kind of enthusiasm for motoring and understand that people who own and drive 500s have a genuine passion for their vehicle.
“We’ve found that the love these drivers have for their cars is reflected in the way they maintain and drive them, which is why we’ve created this range of specialist schemes.
“So, if you own a Fiat 500, whatever the vintage, you could stand to make a huge saving on your insurance premium.”
Adrian Flux’s Fiat 500 schemes cover all 500s, from classic originals to modern revivals, and included a variety of features such as like for like cover on all manufacturer options, modified Fiat 500 insurance and a range of extra discounts calculated around experience, reduced mileage, owners club membership and security precautions.
Significant discounts are also available for Fiat 500s listed as a second car.
For further information about Adrian Flux’s range of Fiat 500 insurance schemes visit http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/fiat-500/ or call Flux for free on 0800 089 0045.

Dan - only a little question this time - I gave you a tall order on the Abarth section !

A Fiat 500 1.4
If this was converted to LPG - and it was done by a 'reputable' company.
What would the impact be on insurance for say a 30 year with a full no claims bonus living in a crime free (if these is one !) part of England.
Many thanks in advance.

Just had my callback, he wasn't very helpful. He asked me what the cheapest quote I'd got was (£742) so I told him, he went away, came back and said I'm looking at over £1,000 for this sorry. Didn't even try to compete! What a load of rubbish.

I had no response on the Abarth section - early days yet. But there was a response from a forum 'member' that has since been edited.
He must have had his reasons. :)
Got the impression that they don't like anything modded even with a TMC upgrade chip.

£742? that is mad. I pay £160 fully comp.

Ha I guess I have been driving as long as you have been on this earth.
I passed my test when I was 17...
That was 21 years ago.

Hi, got a few questions :)

Do you do multicar policies? We've currently got a multicar policy with our 500 and our Subaru on. The company pricematched both of the best quotes we'd had for both cars.
What changes do you have for early cancellation? We're planning to take the Subaru off the road sometime in the next year so being charged a silly amount for cancellation wouldn't be good :)

My stats:
Fiat 500 1.4 Lounge (no mods !)
Male based in Dublin in a kinda posh area with a garage
Driving since 1978 @ 17 (drove a tractor around the grandparents farm @ 14yrs does that count ?)
Full licence (never passed a driving test - got a 'cowboys' licence)
Full no claims bonus - no claims ever made
No points (had only 3 points miracously - but they have been wiped)
Age 49 (when the policy was taken out in Feb - hate being 50 !)
OH on policy - clean as a whistle.
And still pay €350 after a lot of shopping around !
Oh - partial protection on the 'no claims' bonus on a step back to 30%
Excess - I must check that !

Afraid so, I'm only 21 and not a fantastic postcode in the Bradford area :( I also decided a couple of years ago to reverse off my drive straight into a car parked at the opposite side of the road which i managed not to see! Ha! So that doesn't help. I've paid over £900 for Third Party Fire & Theft on a 10 Year old Peugeot 106 for the last 3 years, and not being able to afford that in one go means paying monthly which has resulted in me paying £1000 to insure an old banger TPF&T It is an absolute joke!!!!

When you start getting your full no claims bonus back to 5 years ? (you're 3 years accident free now ?) it will be worthwhle paying a little extra to protect it.
From an 'accident' where a guy reversed into my precious 500  on the 23rd of Dec last (it was only a litte tip on the side) the CCTV recording at the Builders providers proved that he was in the wrong. I had been tempted to get a helmet type camera on the passenger sun visor shortly afterwards but now I've 'forgotten' about it.

Well, my insurance isn't actually due for about 5 weeks but I thought I would get a quote from these guys just to see what I am in for.

Just got the quote back this morning (though I need to phone them for it to be more accurate, as is normal with good insurance companies) and they are over £300 cheaper than anyone else I have tried at £380.

Have to say, well done Adrian Flux. Finally an insurance company that isn't just plian ripping off car owners.

I will be calling in a few weeks when my renewall comes through, the company I am with have litterally doubled the cost of insurance in the last 12 months, got a quote from them online to see how much it had gone up, £1072 to insure me..a 40 year old with no convictions or claims with 7 years ncd!!!! Joke or what ?

So yes, I will deffinately be calling you once I get the full renewall through mid-end of june.

Once again, well done :D

Fariniac.

Hi

For an Lpg conversation , should not make a difference, but we would just have to run it by the underwriter still anyway.

Dan.
