Punto Evo/Supersport (Abarth) My Abarth Punto Evo

Introduction

Have the car for around 2 months now.
I really wanted a grey one with white stripes, but there was a 3 months waiting list, and I've already sold my Mk2 HGT.
Can't say I'm disappointed with a white one :)
~3000km on the clock. Running great.

A photo from the day I picked the car up

Some with more Abarths (mine is on the right)

There are (to this day) 50 Abarths over here. 5 of them (inc. the car used for test drives, and the one in the showroom) are Puntos. I was the first person to take delivery :)
Thanks guys :)

Here is a short video I took a while back. Was just trying to test the camera mount. Vibrates more than I expected.
And yes I know about the keys :p
I have a new keyring now, with a detachable ring, so when I'm driving the rest of the keys don't get in the way.

Well, the APE has 30bhp or so more, but it's a bit heavier.
0-60 time is down by 0.7 of a second. 7.9 for the APE, 8.6 for the HGT if I'm not mistaken (Didn't put it to the test, since it's not my cup of tea anyways).
To be honest, this isn't much.
But the power delivery... Now that's a different story. The instant turbo power is really something else :)

The old car had 16.4 kgm@4300 rpm, this has 25kgm@2500 rpm (with sport mode on). It's a noticeable difference
The power just comes from almost no revs at all, all the way to the top. Puts a big smile on my face every time.

Interesting, the only reason I ask is that back in the days of the old MK1 Punto I had the GT, and so far none of the newer sporty Puntos have come close to it for performance, even before I had it tuned. I’m hoping to tune my Evo sporting fairly soon so will be interesting to see what gains are to be had, apparently a remap adds about 25BHP bringing it up to near enough the Abarth power output.:D
I would have bought the Abarth Evo if they had only released it sooner!

Went for a drive just for the fun of it :)
Pictures taken by a good friend of mine, I did some editing in iPhoto.

This isn't the main road obviously, just an inner park trail / back road.

I do :)
Plenty of A500s but only 4 APEs at the moment.

Updates:
De-badged the boot lid (will post pictures soon).

Added a carbon fiber footrest (A friend who works with airplanes was able to spare some carbon for the project). It looks a bit weird in the picture, but it works really well.
Nice material to work with as well, I must say.

Some updates,

Passed 10,000 km, all working great. Loving this car :)

I've replaced the instrument panel plastic hood (I hope that's the right term in English) with a leather one. Picked it up at a FIAT garage on my last trip to Milan for 27EUR.
Part number is 735522311. Fits any Evo.

Last picture is from a local Alfa-Romeo club meet, my car is on the right obviously. An yes, that yellow 500 is the 695 Tributo Ferrari thingy.
