My mates a bit of a chav and thinks he knows everything. He believes that in a race he would beat my car. What do you guys think?

I have a 1.2 16v SX Fiat Brava. It has 82 BHP

He has a 1.4 LX Peugeot 206. His has 75BHP

Looking on Whatcar.com it says my brava is a whole of 0.2 seconds faster than his

So what do you guys think? Could the Brava win?

I went for Steve's option (assuming the original two options weren't Peugeot 206 and Who gives a toss ).

You know i actually thought people on this site would be interested in something like this. Guess i thought too highly of you lot.

My answer is get down to a dragstrip day, you can argue theories all you like but the only way to find out is to try it

Nah i would never actually race him. 1 i wouldnt want to waste the petrol, lol. and i if i did loose then he would never shut up about it (hes one of those annoying people that go on and on about crap)

I am confused... why people not showing an interest in racing be so low in your opinions. Threads like these dont interest a lot of adults.

I just thought that if people weren't interested then they simply wouldnt post and leave it alone. Not post that they don't care.

Peugeots usually have shorter transm. ratios,so be carefull...

Why would I be interested in whether your shopping cart is faster than his shopping cart? The fact that you wouldn't even race shows how pointless this thread is.

Well i know that i can get through my gears a hell of alot faster than he can and its mutch smoother than the 206. But then again my car is heavier. Plus hes got a crappy max power air filter on his car...not sure if it actually does anything and make a noise but he certainly thinks so

If you're not going to do it, there's no point in wondering about it. How do we know? Doing it is the only way to find out. And if you're worried about losing, then it shows you don't believe you are faster. So again, you should try it and find out.

No i dont think i would beat him. I think my car would win against his yes. But me as the driver no. I drive like an old granny trying to get the best mpg i can out of my car i can. He drives like a complete chav maniack always going upto about 4 or 5 revs before he changes gear. He is more experienced driving like a nob than i do so i dont think id win. But i still think my car would beat his. so naturally i want ur guys opinions
