I did love the Mk2 only go rid of mine because I was in an accident with a rather large Audi. Almost impulse bought a yellow Mk2b the other day. Had to stop myself :p.

I only traded mine (the grey 1) in due to the very expensive PAS fault it developed last year. When my dad said it wasn't worth fixing, I immediately started looking at Grande Puntos on autotrader, and found my Eleganza straight away, lol!

For daring to damage a Fiat, that audi should've been crushed. With the owner inside, lol! :p

I like the Mk2 in grey. Took me a while to find my GP ended up with my 1.4 active sport after about a month of looking. Most of them I went to see had dodgy front wings and weird panel gaps.

Tell me about it! I think his massive Q5 was worse off than my little punto though :p

I was rather attached to my mk2b, and I still miss it, pretty much a year later, lol! The dealer I got mine from also had a 56-plate 1.2 Dynamic 3 dr. When I was looking at them on the website, I was genuinely torn between the 2, lol!

With regards to the q5, I really don't understand why people are so crazy about suvs and crossovers. I actually like owning a Supermini, lol!!

Same! The dealer I went to had a Mk2b in for less than half what I paid for my grande. I was tempted.

No neither do I, they are just massive. I like my nippy little cars. Although realised the other day that my GP is basically the same length as my dads Focus. Super - not so - mini?

The 1.2 Dynamic was still a Grande Punto, but a fairly early 1. Both that had and my 2008 1.4 Eleganza had done 48k, but the Dynamic had the smaller engine, was £600 cheaper, and possibly the slightly better colour, but my Eleganza was newer, had the extra pair of doors, and more kit. It purely came down to condition, lol!

I hate suvs and crossovers, lol! They're completely pointless! Is your dad's focus a mk1?

I do enjoy more kit! I like my cars to have 3 doors though :p The 1.2 is a nasty engine to drive compared to the 1.4 imo.

Not sure on the mk, I don't really stay clued with the focus. It's an 02 plate so I'm thinking it's pretty early?

Lol! I've never had a 3dr, so I don't know if I could live with the inconvenience, lol! A lot of people say the 1.2 is awful, but my old mk2b was a 1.2 8v, and I thought it was a cracking little engine!

Yep, that is a mk1 focus. There would probably be more of a difference in size if you compared your Grande to a mk2 focus.

The 1.2 was fine is my mk2 but the grande is a much bigger car so is much heavier. The engine struggles a bit making it horrid to drive. I had one as a courtesy car once. Nearly made them take it back lol!

I compromised by letting someone else buy me my car... And therefore couldn't veto the colour. Initially hated it, but its grown on me! (I have the pale yellow panda) xxx
