I do like the Toyota, BUT if I had a choice I would be tempted to go for a twingo, they look really nice imo

But its French... bad experinces with a Saxo make me :yuck:

Personally the ST, think they are lovely (looking) cars. Have never drove one so unsure able the drive.

Edit: As above, the twingo is wicked!

ST kinda attracts, for all the right reasons, but it comes up short in terms of rough road refinement, safety features & can appear chavvy... shame really, but a vote for the Ford at last! (y)

2 - 1 to Yaris SR so far :p

Mazda 3 MPS?

For £8,000 Adam? I can find some but from dodgy looking garages, reputable ones are looking for £10 - £11,000 for a low - ish miler.

Plus there is a turbo... something I want to avoid. And Ins Gp 17....., 2.3 litre as well so there goes my economy lol!

Great reviews though to be fair!

To be fair to Renault, they are in a different league to Citroen. The Renault cars are one of the only things that make France look good!

TBH Twingo = Ultra Sexy! (y)

DO IT!

Twingo Cup looks tasty, if I can get past the "French" thing... might be within reach in a year ... they sell for around £9,500 currently. Dash might take some getting used to, as with the Yaris TBH. Its under consideration for the time being then... nice one Leigh...

I was thinking about the depreciation up until end of the year/this time next year. Might be some good ones around £8k then (y) They are supposed to be a good car, based on the Focus. Should be pretty reliable too. Downsides though, as you say, its pricey to run (n)

2.0 petrol focus or somthing... bit boring though...

or a 2.0 sport mazda 3

Cheers Josh, looked at a Mazda 3 MPS but too thirsty, I'm kind of crossing off the Astra / Civic sector now. I like small cars for a few reasons, 1 being able to get all 4 of our cars on the driveway...

As all the members in my direct family have cars of their own small meets my needs for parking, economy, and with luck some performance without paying too much in Insurance & Road Tax. Holy Grail really I accept that, but I now have the Yaris SR & Twingo Cup to consider, Fiesta is out as its a bit "not me..."

What about a second hand Audi A3 or a classic Bravo :spin:

Hmmm Audi service / repair costs frighten Mrs Ffoxy, she used to work in the finance dept of a company that had them as Fleet vehicles... bit too big really too as with Bravo... plus I want to try a different brand.

TBH the GPS will be a very hard act to follow... :(

Dammit!

 Kia Pro-Cee'd, £7,950 in white, 1.6 petrol. 2 years old, 11,000 miles with 5 years Warranty left on it...

Hmmmmm.... cant find much bad said about them, plenty good stuff.

Its no warm or hothatch I know... but IMO very Stilo-esque in appearance with a hint of Audi A3...

Ticks a lot of boxes... even to the point of accepting a slghtly bigger car. Now then...
