i got irish plates on mine GAZ 6272, my mum has JO51 EUK (her name is josie), my dad has Y31 JPD (his initials)

i had my plate as a 21st b/day present

i would of rather the money in my hand but seeing as i never paid for it i was happy :)

I have no qualms about people buying private plates, just not something I would spend money at now [although maybe in a few years, who knows].

I was offered S4 ASH years back, for £1000 at the time - I refused it then, but haven't checked to see if still available.

Maybe I should look out for D3 MON?

Every month I keep getting junk mail from some reg company telling me I can have A* NJV (my initials) Or H* NJV etc. All for the price of £300. £300!!!

IMHO that £300 wouldn't have been worth earning in the first place if I spent it on something like that.

Have also never seen the point in people illegally spacing and putting bolt covers on to make something it isn't. If it reads something it reads something, if it doesn't it doesn't. And also plates that are so obscure people have to give you an explanation on the bottom of the plate (because for some bizarre reason they think you give a toss). e.g. there's one I see regularly in Leeds on an Almera which is 44 DXY, but underneath it says 'Dave & Yvonne', it's like wtf

They're probably Chavs though:D

EDIT - dave made me look stupid :p

i never really understood how one company can charge so much for a number plate and another one be cheaper, i thought they owned the individual plates

i have a friend whoes name is Bjorn and his surname starts with R. For his 21st his parents got him B10 RNR and it was spaced as B10RN R with the 1 made into a J. At least it looked like what it was supposed to read.
