not on the old corsa.

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

I have said yes but really it would depend on what the car was and whether or not I had tools with me

I usually carry water and have stopped to help somebody who had overheated at the side of the road

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

i voted yes, but then if it was a pure chaved up corsa then i'd probablly give it a miss. mainly due to the fact that they have probably been ragging their car and deserved it breaking down.

but it would be a bit more of a bonus if it was a milf

Is that not illegal, I think they call it dogging

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

I know nothing about cars, so most likely wouldn't help, but if I knew stuff, I might help, it depends, if its someone old, or a women, then yeah most likely.

Did help someone on a bike few days ago, they ran out of petrol, pushed their bike about 4 miles to the petrol station, but it was closed, so pushed it another 3 to ours, by then we had closed and it was pay at pump only. He only had cash on him, so I let him give me the money and I put let him use my card. Made 50p out of it as well xD

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

depends..
Anyone in a classic VW stops for another stranded on side of the road, i'm still in this habit even though i don't have one anymore, same applys to classic mini's.

I would stop if i thought i could help but tbh i'm no good with alot of new cars, but i do carry an air compressor for tyres, 2 tow ropes and jump leads at all times in the stilo so have found myself jumping people off in car parks and the like many times.

But in the end i can't help but think when i roll by a brand new beemer on side of the road, 'he defo wouldn't stop for me sooooo......

....POINT AND LAUGH!!!'

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

So we have established that BMWs are actually slow cars since no-one will ever let you out of a junction, no-one will ever let you into their lane and no-one would help you if you broke down, meaning you have to wait for recovery, making it a very slow journey indeed. Awesome.

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

Yep

I had 2 lasses break down in their astra near my house. It was a busy main road and there was a massive queue of traffic forming behind them. As I approached I noticed the driver was trying over and over again to start the car but it wasn't having it. I dashed over like a proper knight in shining armour, ready to rescue the fair maidens (except they were real gompers - not at all nice).
I inspected under the bonnet and I realised what the problem was.

"Cam belt's gone, love"
"Can you fix it"
"Nah. You've fcuked it"

Yep. Real knight in shining armour, me.
I did lend her my phone though.

Re: Would you help a broken down motorist?

I helped a bloke pushing his car down Castle Boulevard, Nottingham in 1975. He thanked me and told me that he could get me a job at Boots factory if I wanted one.
I took up his offer and worked in D6 factory polyfusor dept and met my first wife there.

I don't stop to help people anymore.

would stop but never seen anyone that id need to stop for. see a lot of people these days with hazards on and just sitting there like a tw@ so they can use the phone.

once me and 3 mates in my cento when away for the weekend. in a small welsh town there was a car half on half off the road with hazards on... full of hotties. wanted to stop but couldnt turn around.... probably a trap anyway
