still sort of inruiged by some rota gras but not sure wether they would look right on a gp.

on daves suggestion of having spokes behind the rim ie rim sticks out past spokes instead of the other way round. do people have any suggestions they think would look good.

sorry for all the questions but this will be first wheel purchase so dont want to make a wrong decision.

I think it's a shame that none of the alloys look identical to the wheel trims because they really do suit the car. It's just the 'thin' tyre look I cannot stand.

But love the trims...

i had looked at mak volares and oz anniversarys because they are similar to the trims. the ozs are a rip off and not easy to get as they dont make them anymore and both will be a pain for kerbing apparently.

steelies?

not likely my mas already buckled one and me and my dad had to knock it back into shape. and i dont know why i just think the trims (although the style suits the car) make the car look cheap and let the rest of the styling down.

Well changing wheels aint going to change that tbh. Its the base model so will look cheap no matter how much tat you stick to it.

They suit a Bravo, not a GP....

ah ok. thats why i created this thread to stop me making a daft decision so thank you.

it looks suprisingly classy actually which is why my parents bought it in the first place. just doing a few little things has really improved/is really improving it i think personally.

although the trims suit the car i think the fact they are steelies lets the rest of ythe appearance down. but i can understand if you think otherwise.

what do people think of these please:

http://www.alloywheels.com/product....to 06>&strSize=17"&searchSize=17"&strSort=Low

as they are sort of similar to the trims.

We know what it looks like, most of us own FIAT's ;)

Still there will be plenty of tell tale signs that the car has a puny engine / bottom of the range...

1) Brake Drums will be shining through the lovely alloys
2) Puny Exhaust
3) Engine note will be blatently obvious
4) No fog lights (duno if yours has them or not)
5) People can see the interior
6) Tiny front discs!
7) Even with high revs from traffic lights, you will struggle to move due to tiny engine + big wheels
8) Multi-fits
9) The car sits so much higher than other models! You'll need super-springs!

TBH people will always know it is bottom of the range unless you spend stupid money like Jamie.

Also, not a fan of those alloys. sorry!

obv just giving my opinion on it as to try and explain why i want some alloys. so sorry if you felt i was patronising you.

1) Brake Drums will be shining through the lovely alloys- im painting them black
2) Puny Exhaust- will get one similar to the sporting when i can afford it.
3) Engine note will be blatently obvious- unavoidable but a gsr might help
4) No fog lights (duno if yours has them or not)- it hasnt im
5) People can see the interior- may get a refit when i can afford it
6) Tiny front discs!-true
7) Even with high revs from traffic lights, you will struggle to move due to tiny engine + big wheels-wouldnt know havent passed yet so cant comment on that.
8) Multi-fits-what difference does that make? other than they dont look as good as proper stud layout.
9) The car sits so much higher than other models! You'll need super-springs!-will lower once i have sorted some alloys

TBH people will always know it is bottom of the range unless you spend stupid money like Jamie.

dont fancy taking it that far.

Also, not a fan of those alloys. sorry!

thanks for the input. just thought they would suit as similar in style to wheel trims and as the rim sticks out past the spokes would be less of a pain for kerbing.
