Ok so that's three weeks 100HP ownership under my belt and the smile has still to fade.

One thing I have noticed though is that it does seem to have a larger turning circle than the Nissan Micra it replaced. Those quick little 180 degree street turns that used to be so easy in the Micra are now a little more protracted. Not quite the 12 metre "Austin Powers in a tunnel" of my GTV but noticeable all the same.

Checked the various specs and here's what I found:

FIAT Panda 100HP - 10.0 metres
FIAT Panda - 9.1 metres (4x4 - 9.6 metres)
Nissan Micra - 9.2 metres
ALFA GTV - 12.0 metres
ALFA Brera - 10.7 metres
ALFA 147 - 11.5 metres

Hmmm.......be interested to know the turning circle of the Cinq, Sei, Punto and Grande Punto?

I know, I know - I will try to get out more. AND brush up on my three point turns.;)

From what i could find on www.fiat.dk, the Grande Punto has a turning circle of 10 metres (1,2 + 1,4 16V + 1,3JTD) and 11 metres (1,4 16V Sport + 1,9JTD Sport).

Don't know why there are different turning circles for the sport and non-sport 1,4 16V

On www.carfolio.com you can find most info.
It states Punto mrkII has a turning circle of 10.5 metres.

By the way; how is the Panda doing? I just can't wait for mine to arrive.

It'll be because of the wheels/tyres, the track will be wider which will increase the turning circle but they may also have moved the steering locks to prevent rubbing on the liners.

But surely its still no truck and turns round quite well. Bit of use of the handbrake might help :)

Personally I'm surprised that there is only 1m difference between the regular Panda and the 100HP - having moved from one to the other the 100HP seems to be far worse than that.

The regular Panda had a very tight turning circle but the 100HP seems to be way below average compared to other cars I have driven recently (Leon, A2, new Civic).

Having said that it's not spoiling my enjoyment - overall the 100HP is brill (y)

Just chipping in to the this 10 year old thread! I had a Sporting for 7 years and recently changed to a 100HP. I am continually parking halfway across parking bays as the turning circle is completely different. Will take a while to unlearn the old Panda...!
