Hi all,

Just had my Multijet's 3rd service, a 20K Km service, cost €145 all in. However when I got her (why do we call our cars "her" ?) back, I noted that the light bulb on the heating controls had blown, that happened last time I had a service done, is it a coincidence or do the mechanics get commission on sales of interior light bulbs :)

I got a bulb, €2 but can't for the life of me figure out how to get it fitted, going to the garage again would cost me €13 in total, so if I can find out how to get access to the rotary controls for the heating, I will save the princely sum of €11 – question, does anybody out there know how to get at this part of the interior?
Thanks in advance,

BJ20

Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere, but i have the same problem. I did a search but couldn't seem to find anything similar.

Has anyone changed a dashboard light like this or is it a trip to my local dealer saturday...!

Hi Wades,

I tried to get info on the change bulbs bit but no takers. In the end it went in with a service and I did not see the bulb costs in the bill!

Seems that the upper half of the dash lifts up and then you replace the bulbs etc. Not something I feel will be easy peasy. Sometimes I miss my old Ford Anglia with it's mechanical parts :)

hmmm thanks anyway BJ20(y) sounds like a bit of nightmare to do myself. Still haven't taken it in anyway, will probably be another six months before i do!

I have to say Like yourself i miss old cars too, changing bulbs and such was an easy task, unlike keeping the things running in winter....! ho hum.
