its taken me a while to notice but i find it annoying that i can't sit in the car and listen to the mega cheap radio cassette without the engine running as there is no accessory position on the ignition switch....for gods sake cars in the sixties had accessory positions on the switches

none of the Fiats I've ever come across ever had an "acc" position,

The radio should be able to be turned on with the ignition off (AFAIK)

Yes the radio can be turned on with the ignition off in my car.

I have an Acc position on my Panda
That is I can turn the key and just the dashboard warning lights come on,the windows work, the CD and the 12V socket without the engine being on

on the advice of someone earlier , i tried the turn off key and then re turn on radio it worked..haven't tried it on the sidelights tho

There may be a seetting on the radio that allows it to stay on for a certain amount of time after you switch off the ignition, the CD/radio in my 4x4 will do this.

On mine, you push in the menu button, and use the arrow keys to scroll to "Ignition" - were you set this.

That's generally accepted to be the "on" position.

other cars have an "ACC" position that works the radio, clock, cig lighter etc. without working the windows, without the dash lights coming on. and without pre-heating (if its diesel)
