Hi all

Can I disable the audio cd player on my 2003 Panda Dynamic 1.2?

The player kept coming on or off whether the engine is running or not causing my battery to die.

Would that be through the fuse or direct disconnection? The AA guy tried P35 and P36 with no luck

I'm assuming this is the CD player built into the radio unit. Standard double DIN size unit.
There have been a few threads about this, only 'cure' seems to be replace with aftermarket head unit.

If it only happens with a CD in it, eject it.

Mine has a wee disco to itself in my garage from time to time but mainly when the weather is very warm. Hasn't done it for a while. It's never ran long enough to drain the battery as yet.

Ours does the opposite, turns on if there is no CD in the player.
Fix - leave a CD in it.

It's the microswitch that detects CD loading that goes bad, apparently.

The CD sound on mine is like the speakers are in a bucket - awful. Radio is ok though.
