i posted this in the welcome section but was advised be better to post in panda section .
hello can some one help please
i have just purchased a panda 2009 1.1 active eco .. on my way home the engine dipped and the management light came on then when off this only seems to happen going up or down a hill ,,
i did fill the car up to brim with fuel ..
phoned the garage where brought form they says because its not used for a while !!
i have plugged in my own engine management reader and no codes presents so very confusing .. does anyone have any ideas ?
kind regards

Take it back to the dealer. It's not working as it should so fix it or money back.

hi i am trying to get my money back but no joy .. he currently has car and says no faults but going to fix anyway .

If the engine light came on solid the fault code will be logged.

Maybe a Fiat code that your generic reader cannot read
The engine light only flashes on then goes off when the engine power dips .

Seriously? What is actually wrong with the car? It's not all about checking electronic fault codes.

In the UK I suggest you talk to your local trading standards people.

When you drive the the engine loses power and the engine management comes on then goes off . Stalls when you stop at junction.
I have been InTouch with trading standards and told to qoute the consumer rights act 2015 where if the goods are not fit for purpose within the first 30 days after purchase you are entitled to a full refund .. after 30 days they can repair or refund minus cost of you owning the car ..

After speaking with dealer yet again today not happy with me qouting the act , told me they now found 6 faults but can't tell me what they are .

update ...
the car has been in my local garage i use for two days and they seemed to think its a electrical fault .. but did disconnected all the wires to ecu and everything in the engine giving them a blast with the air gun since that i have had no problems what so ever ,..
the dealership who i brought it from wont return my calls so now only talking via letters they still denying any problems and just lie about the lies they told lol even when i sent them a copy of the report from the garage i use .. so now in too minds to take them to the small claims court now ..

You could of done a quick search on the forum for 1.1 misfire, you'll have no doubt found the fault and fix quite quickly.

There is a fault with the 1.1 wiring loom from the ECU to the injectors/coils and it causes cutting out and misfires.
Your local garage would probably have disturbed the loose connection, for now.
